Archipod – Backyard Office for Writers

Quote from Archipod website: "The cost and inconvenience of commuting to work everyday is increasing, whereas advances in computer and networking technology are making the viability of working from home a realistic alternative to traveling to an office everyday." Well hasn't that pretty much been the case for writers for the past 20 years?  All a writer has really needed is a decent computer, with the minimalist of word processing capabilities, and QUIET! The problem for writers is the "convenience of working from home" has become a sweet reality for everyone else, namely their significant other.  Where can you reclaim your space?

Archipod thinks it may have the perfection solution for saving travel time, costs and reducing traffic congestion – the Archipod. For $40,000, and minimal if any Planning Permission or Building Control Approval, you can have an instant tech-ready office sans chair and laptop.  After the sphere has been dropped in your backyard all you need is electricity supply.  Heating is by an electrical panel radiator. Roof lights give off all the illumination you'll need during the day and WiFi should extend from the house.  Your trusty cell phone replaces the need for a landline, so all that's left is a comfy ergonomic chair and you're off!

This would be perfect for what I need.   I'd even settle for a $20 room at the Vista View Hotel on Hollywood and Vine just to get away and write.

@ TedRED
LOL! Twenty bucks for a vista and view would be a great deal if it existed.
